Please submit to editor@northvernon.com . San Jacinto is an unincorporated community in Bigger township. The first post office was established in San Jacinto in 1852. It remained in operation until 1906. The community is named after the battle of San Jacinto, which was fought on April 21, 1836 in Texas. The first school in San Jacinto was built in 1858.
