LOS ALAMITOS – The winners of the 35th Annual CIF Southern Section – FORD Academic Awards were announced recently, which included teams and student athletes from area high schools inside our coverage area. The team awards, based on a cumulative grade-point average, are awarded in 27 team sports. Entries from 1,902 teams were received this year. Thirty-three different CIF-SS member schools are represented amongst the team winners. To be considered, teams must have at least five student-athletes with a minimum of a 3.
