SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA: A sheriff's deputy, who worked in the Indio jail, and his daughter died on Sunday, November 13, after the car they were traveling in was hit by a suspected drunk driver, northwest of San Jacinto, authorities say. The victims in the crash were identified as the deputy, 45-year-old Daniel Jacks Jr, and his daughter, 19-year-old Hannah Jacks. Both lived in San Jacinto. According to California Highway Patrol, the driver, Scott Bales, has been arrested for two counts of homicide among other offenses.
